Fantasy Gambling — House Rules (groups and commissioners)

Effective date: August 24, 2026

Last updated: September 11, 2026

These House Rules are part of the Terms of Service. They apply to every pool, every commissioner, and every player. They exist so nobody can later claim we were the bank, the judge of a pot, or the person who owed them money.

Default: play for credits and badges only. That is the whole product.

1. The app is not a cashier

  • We do not accept buy-ins.
  • We do not hold a pot.
  • We do not pay winners.
  • We do not take a rake, hosting fee, or “for the trouble.”
  • We do not integrate Venmo, Cash App, Zelle, PayPal, cards, or crypto.

If money moves, it moves between users, off the Service, as a private arrangement. We are not a party. See Terms §6.

2. Credits are not official cash results

In-app standings, badges, matchups, voids, and tickets are entertainment scoring.

They are not:

  • an official result of any pot;
  • a certification that anyone won money;
  • a promise the numbers are correct;
  • a reason we must change a result because someone already sent cash.

If a group treats the board as the basis for a private settlement, that is the group’s decision and the group’s risk. We do not adopt it. We do not warrant it. We will not appear as your witness, treasurer, or appeals court.

If the board is wrong, tell us through in-app feedback or legal@misconin.com. We will use reasonable efforts to restore the in-app credits and standings to what we believe is the true record, ordinarily within seven days of that notice. We do not warrant accuracy. We will not “freeze Venmo” or tell someone to send money back. Cash remains the group’s problem. See Terms §5.4.

3. Commissioners are not us

A commissioner or pool creator is a user. Unless we are ourselves running that pool as Operator, they are not our employee or agent.

If a commissioner:

  • announces a buy-in,
  • collects cash,
  • names a treasurer,
  • or promises “the app decides who gets paid,”

they do that as a private individual. They must not say we host, guarantee, or take a cut. They must not use our marks to look like a book.

Commissioners must not make cash mandatory as a condition of using the Service. People who want credits-only stay credits-only.

4. If a group still wants a private cash arrangement

We do not recommend it. We do not forbid you from being a competent adult off our site. If you do it anyway, all of the following are conditions of using the Service:

  1. Lawful. Every participant is 21+. The arrangement is lawful where each person lives and where it is formed or performed. You do not take public action. You do not transmit funds in a way that violates UIGEA or any other law.
  2. Off-platform. No payment links, no balances, no “owe me $20” in the product.
  3. Named treasurer who is not us. One friend holds or tracks the cash. Not the Operator. Not “the app.”
  4. Cap. A stated buy-in. Weekly-allotment pools have no reload. Season-bank pools may record another credit buy-in only after that player is busted. Recording a buy-in is a scoring grant. It is not confirmation that money moved, not a pot ledger, and not a cashier. Cash stays off the Service.
  5. Zero rake. Nobody skims “for hosting,” and nobody skims for us.
  6. Written among yourselves before Week 1 — amount, who is in, how you split, what happens on a no-show, a late join, a leave, a void, and a tie. Do not spring a pot on people who joined for badges.
  7. Disputes stay in the group. You will not sue us, charge back through us, or demand we certify a winner.
  8. No public ads. Do not post the pot on our marketing site, in app stores, or in paid ads.

If any of that is not true, do not connect the arrangement to the Service.

5. Voids, bugs, and “money depends on this”

  • Report a scoring bug through the feedback channel or legal@misconin.com.
  • We will try to restore true in-app figures within seven days of that notice (Terms §5.4). That is a best-effort target, not a warranty.
  • We may void, hide, or regrade tickets for any reason we think is good, or for no reason.
  • That decision is final for credits.
  • It creates no cash duty.
  • Do not send money until your group is willing to live with the risk that the board later changes. If you already sent money, that is between you and them.

6. Invites

An invite link or code is how someone joins a credit pool. It is not a prospectus, not an offer to gamble with us, and not our request that they send you money.

Do not invite people under 21. Do not invite the public into a cash pot. Do not paste a buy-in in the same message as our join link if you are trying to stay on the right side of “we are not organizing this.”

7. What we will not do

We will not:

  • hold the money “so it’s fair”;
  • be the treasurer “just this season”;
  • message a user to pay you;
  • testify that our board is the official result of your pot;
  • stay up on a Monday night to save a Venmo thread.

If that makes the cash game harder to run, good. Use credits.

8. Break these rules

We may close the pool, close accounts, or keep running the credit game and ignore the cash fight. You indemnify us for the arrangement under Terms §17.
